Paul Swaraj has in his new book written that Indira Gandhi gave India democracy. Indira Gandhi gave India democracy? What a laugh! She actually planned to kill democracy with her Emergency. She failed because Indians are by and large democrats. However, she succeeded in destroying democracy in the Congress party and today Congress has been reduced to being a handmaiden of a foreign woman.
